Get More. Have More. STORE More!
Ugh.
Like so many American's we can't believe how much STUFF we have accumulated. Over the last month we have undertaken an effort to lighten our load, selling or giving away many things we no longer use (or want or need).
The other day I came across a short piece of writing at Cowbird.com (a fun/funky short story site I have been using lately to practice my own story telling craft). It was titled MORE. The author said it better than I can — check it out. Here is a related event that just happened. I was just meeting with our house sitter. She is getting into climbing and heard I was selling some old climbing equipment. Fast forward 15 minutes and we are now trading half of our house sitting fees for some old equipment I haven't used in a decade. We are both happy — I helped her get into an expensive sport with some used equipment — and now I have a little less STUFF to store and a few more greenbacks in my pocket.
